(English)
I am an American that is a permanent resident of Denmark. I am writing in English because it is my native language, and I can write better than "hvis jeg tale dansk".
I suffer from CPS (chronic pain syndrome), muscle cramps, insomnia, and more. The Danish health system offers me prescriptions for codeine and morphine substitutes, pills to relax muscles, and more, basically inducing Doctor prescribed addiction and expensive solutions to a pensioner while knowing I won't get relief but my liver, stomach and more get ruined as I wait to die.
In California I have a prescription for marijuana (which is NON-addictive and takes care of all my illnesses), which is costing much less and more pleasant to take.
This prescription is worthless in Denmark, as it is not legal here. Not only that but I would run the risk of being deported should I choose to disobey the law (which I will not do, as I would lose my family and all I love, and I will not risk that!).
So I am forced to suffer every day, for who knows how much longer, while the state decides if a GOD GIVEN WEED is okay for me to use as medicine!
The advantages to the State financially (reduced law enforcement costs, etc., TAXES collected, and revenues from other sources as well), and the reduced costs of medicines for everything from headaches, epilepsy, depression, pain, glaucoma, chemotherapy relief, appetite problems, sleep problems, and much more, makes it morally and ethically justifiable alone that we legalize marijuana NOW! ...For all our sakes.
Smoking marijuana since 1966, discovered why it was illegal in 1969 , expecting governments to come to their senses since 1970. DO THE RESEARCH! YOU'LL BE SHOCKED TOO!!

Thank you
